B Collection

The B Collection is housed in a quaint historical building on the ancient church square in the village of Boussac, central France. The building – actually a trio of interlocking structures – dates back to the early 17th century. A sandstone lintel inside the gallery section of the building bears the carved symbol of the Knights Templar and the inscription 1610. With its old-world charm and architectural elegance, each corner of the building seems to whisper tales of bygone eras, capturing imaginations and hearts.

A few years ago, South Africans Christo and Elbe Lindeque acquired the building from former owners Louis Jansen van Vuuren and Hardy Olivier, well-known local South African-French residents. The building now houses a multifaceted establishment that breathes new life into the area. It is home to a café that serves exquisite cuisine, blending traditional French flavours with contemporary cuisine. The B&B boasts five finely appointed rooms, each meticulously decorated to reflect classical elegance while offering modern comforts.

The art gallery within the complex showcases local contemporary artists, providing a vibrant contrast to the historical backdrop. This space, its walls adorned with captivating works, is a haven for art enthusiasts.

Adjacent to the gallery is Café Vincent, a cosy retreat for both locals and visitors, offering a range of delectable organic fare. Here you can savour the finest local produce transformed into delicious dishes that honour the rich culinary traditions of central France’s Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The café, with its warm ambiance and commitment to organic ingredients, is a favourite gathering spot in Boussac.

Within the B Collection you will also find Le Store Contemporary, a special boutique that blends European elegance with South African flair, offering a treasure trove of carefully curated objects that ensure there is something for everyone.

The vision for this building has been beautifully realised, seamlessly blending history with modern amenities. It stands as a cornerstone of Boussac’s cultural and social life, honouring the past while celebrating the present.
